2021 marks Sojourner House’s 45th anniversary. Founded in 1976 by a group of dedicated volunteers, Sojourner House has grown into a community staple and a place of hope and refuge for victims of abuse.
Everyday we receive requests for assistance from victims in abusive relationships who have nowhere else to turn. Thanks to our Sustainers’ Circle members, we are able to offer them and their children access to critical services to help them overcome trauma and live a successful life all year long! The Sustainers’ Circle also ensures that Sojourner House can sustain this important programming. We have grown tremendously over the past five years in order to meet the needs of victims. We now have over 40 staff members, 3 emergency shelters, and over 125 supportive housing apartment units, and we want to sustain these critical services for many years to come.

As we look to 2021, we ask that you join us as a monthly donor in honor of our 45 years of serving and supporting victims in our community. Below is a link where you can sign up to be a monthly donor for $45/month in honor of our 45th Anniversary (or an amount of your choosing!)
Our Sustainers’ Circle makes our work to end domestic and sexual violence possible, and gives new hope to people who need a fresh start in life.
