Support Sojourner House, Support Survivors of Abuse
Over the past five years, Sojourner House has grown tremendously. Since 2020, our annual budget has almost quadrupled, allowing us to:
Serve hundreds more families through shelter, housing, and supportive services.
Expand our life-saving programs, from clinical counseling to legal advocacy.
Acquire multiple new buildings to provide long-term affordable housing for survivors.
This growth has saved lives. But now it’s all at risk.
With nearly 80% of our agency’s funding coming from federal sources, current threats to these government funds mean we cannot sustain this progress without urgent community support. If we cannot raise unrestricted revenue, we will be forced to cut back on critical services—putting survivors at risk and turning away those who have nowhere else to go.
This is a moment of reckoning for our community. That’s why we launched an urgent Spring Fundraising Campaign with an ambitious goal to raise $350,000 by our 10th Annual Sojo Mojoe Breakfast on May 30th.
We’ve made tremendous progress so far, but sadly did not reach the finish line by that date. As of June 13th, we’ve raised $315,000 of our $350,000 goal. We’re 90% there! Can you help us reach close this gap by June 30th to ensure that our programs continue to thrive through the summer months?

When Elena fled an abusive relationship, she had no home, no money, and no way to protect her two young children. Thanks to Sojourner House—and donors like you—she secured safe housing, received legal advocacy, and started trauma-informed counseling. Today, she is raising her children in a home filled with love, not fear.
We cannot turn our backs on survivors like Elena. We must keep our doors open. We must continue this fight.
